At the University of Waterloo, move-in day begins on Thursday. Students are allotted a 30-minute window to collect keys, unload their vehicles, and settle into their accommodations. The move-in process spans four days, accommodating over 5,000 students. Moves are scheduled in time slots to ensure a smooth experience for everyone involved.
The City of Waterloo has implemented traffic changes for the weekend, including no parking on certain streets and travel restrictions in specific areas. Similarly, the University of Guelph is preparing to welcome approximately 5,000 new students to residence over Friday and Saturday. Move-in slots are available from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day, and students are advised to be patient in case of any wait times.
Wilfrid Laurier University’s move-in weekend will occur from Friday to Sunday for the Waterloo campus, with the Brantford campus move-in scheduled for Sunday.
