Hospitals in the Windsor region are experiencing delays on Saturday morning due to technical difficulties with their computer systems. Windsor Regional Hospital and Erie Shores Healthcare issued alerts on social media regarding the situation.
The delays are a result of a malfunction in the computer systems, causing setbacks in patient care processes, including diagnostic imaging. The hospitals have requested patience from the public as their IT teams are actively working to resolve the issues.
According to Windsor Regional Hospital’s emergency wait times webpage, the average wait times at both the Metropolitan and Ouellette campuses were approximately three hours on Saturday afternoon.
