“Tragedy Strikes in Kirkby: Pregnant Woman Passes Away at Residence”

A tragic incident unfolded this morning in Kirkby as a pregnant woman passed away at her residence. Merseyside Police responded to a call on Highsted Road just before 11 am after receiving reports of a medical emergency.

According to a spokesperson, the North West Ambulance Service urgently requested assistance for a woman in her 40s. Despite the combined efforts of law enforcement and paramedics, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Eyewitnesses observed a significant police presence in the area with multiple patrol cars and an ambulance stationed outside the residence. Plain-clothed detectives and officers were spotted in the back garden as investigations unfolded.

Two air ambulances landed near Headbolt Lane train station, with one later reported to have landed at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.

A Merseyside Police representative confirmed the tragic news, stating that a pregnant woman had passed away during the reported medical emergency. The authorities responded to the urgent call from the North West Ambulance Service concerning a woman in her 40s at Highsted Road.

The spokesperson added that the woman, who was pregnant, passed away on-site. Law enforcement officers provided support to the ambulance service and assisted in transporting family members to the hospital.

The police emphasized that the incident is currently being treated as non-suspicious, with the woman’s next of kin informed. A formal report will be submitted to the Coroner’s Office.

They also urged against spreading unverified information online about the incident, highlighting the potential harm it could cause to those involved.
