Trump Noncommittal on Pardoning Maxwell & Epstein Files

Donald Trump has not ruled out the possibility of pardoning Ghislaine Maxwell and dismissed inquiries about the Epstein files, stating he is indifferent to the potential release of more documents.

This development follows the release of over 23,000 documents to Congress by Jeffrey Epstein’s estate, which included numerous emails referencing Trump. Epstein indicated in the emails that Trump was aware of the situation involving the girls but clarified that Trump had never received a massage.

When questioned about Epstein’s statements, Trump denied any knowledge and redirected the focus to Epstein’s interactions with Bill Clinton. Trump recently announced on his Truth Social network his intention to task Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel with investigating Epstein’s associates, including former President Clinton, asserting his authority as the nation’s “chief law enforcement agent.”

Regarding the House of Representatives’ initiative to disclose more Epstein files, Trump expressed disinterest, labeling it a Democratic ploy and emphasizing the need to scrutinize individuals like Reid Hoffman, who frequented Epstein’s island. Trump’s stance was challenged by Hoffman, who urged the full disclosure of all Epstein files for the sake of justice for the victims.

Furthermore, Trump was asked about the possibility of granting a pardon to Ghislaine Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year prison term for sex trafficking. Trump stated that he had not pondered the idea and did not commit to either ruling it in or out.
