Canada’s Tyler Mislawchuk secured a bronze medal at the World Triathlon Championship Series competition held in Weihai, China, over the weekend. The 32-year-old athlete, hailing from Oak Bluff, Manitoba, finished the race in one hour, 41 minutes, and 25 seconds. Switzerland’s Max Studer claimed the gold with a time of 1:41:08, while Spain’s David Campero Del Campo clinched the silver, crossing the line seven seconds ahead of Mislawchuk.
Mislawchuk completed the 1.5-kilometre swim in 18 minutes and 39 seconds and tackled the 38.6-kilometre bike course in 51 minutes and 53 seconds. He wrapped up the event with a 10-kilometre run, finishing in 29 minutes and 35 seconds. Unfortunately, his compatriot, Liam Donnelly, did not complete the race.
