“Vancouver Goldeneyes Unveil Exciting New Jerseys”

The Vancouver Goldeneyes jersey from last season was a favorite of Ashton Bell. Now, she’s excited about the new version as the Professional Women’s Hockey League team gears up for its second season. Bell, the team’s captain, expressed her excitement about the new jerseys, which feature unique touches tailored to Vancouver and the team. The unveiling of the new jerseys took place with Bell in attendance.

The new jersey design showcases the team’s logo, a golden eye with wings, at the center and includes bronze wing-like lines on the sleeves. The numbers on the back have miniature outlines of the logo. The team explained that the V-shaped blocking on the lower sides symbolizes motion and speed, referencing the team’s “flying V” celebration.

In contrast to the previous season’s jerseys, which had a diagonal “Vancouver” design, the new jerseys aim to represent both the city and the team. Forward Jenn Gardiner, a Surrey, B.C. native, commended the design for its creative incorporation of the team logo and colors.

The Goldeneyes wrapped up their inaugural season with a 9-3-4-14 record, missing the playoffs. Their strong finish secured them the first overall pick in the PWHL entry draft, where they selected American defender Caroline (KK) Harvey. The team will debut the new jerseys in their season opener on December 5 against the Seattle Torrent.

Bell anticipates seeing many fans sporting the refreshed uniform in the stands. She looks forward to witnessing the arena filled with Goldeneyes colors. The team’s logo is prominently displayed throughout their home rink, Pacific Coliseum, a feature that Gardiner finds special and unique in the realm of women’s sports, especially women’s hockey. She expressed gratitude for the support from the city and the opportunity to play for their home team.
