Wetherspoon has kicked off a January Sale at 600 of its pubs, offering a pint of beer for as low as 99p. The discounted drinks range includes Worthington’s beer at 99p per pint, Coldwater Creek wine for £2.99 per 250ml glass, Johnnie Walker Black Label (25ml with mixer) for £1.99, and Tanqueray gin (25ml with mixer) for £1.99.
Moreover, a variety of low-alcohol and alcohol-free options are available, such as Guinness 0.0, Corona Cero, Brewdog Punk AF, Stella Artois Alcohol Free, Erdinger Isotonic, Thatchers zero, Koppaberg Alcohol Free, and Gordons 0.0 pink gin, each priced at £1.69. Beck’s Blue and Sanpellegrino Aranciata Rossa are also on sale for 99p each. Additionally, discounts are offered on Wetherspoon food items, including an 11-inch Margherita pizza or a chicken burger with chips for £4.99 with a soft drink, or £6.52 with an alcoholic beverage.
For those craving jacket potatoes, there is a choice of six fillings for £4.99 with a soft drink, or £6.52 with an alcoholic drink. Customers can opt for fillings like tuna mayo, coleslaw, chilli bean non-carne, cheese, baked beans, or roasted vegetables, with the option to add an extra filling or side salad for 99p. New gourmet jacket potatoes are also available, priced at £6.49 with a soft drink and £8.02 with an alcoholic drink.
These gourmet potatoes include the loaded spud topped with cheese, maple-cured bacon, garlic butter, and sour cream, the Mexican spud loaded with chilli bean non-carne, cheese, guacamole, tortilla chips, chillies, and coriander, and the smoky potato loaded with pulled BBQ beef brisket, cheese, chipotle mayo, and chillies.
Wetherspoon’s founder and chairman, Tim Martin, expressed enthusiasm for the January Sale, aligning with traditional January sales in department stores. He emphasized the wide variety of drinks and food offerings, catering to diverse tastes, including a significant selection of low and non-alcoholic drinks.
The sale will run from January 2 in most pubs and from January 3 in Scotland until January 15. It is available at 600 pubs, with prices possibly varying at the remaining 200 Wetherspoon venues.
