Three individuals vying for the mayoral position in Windsor will participate in a live debate next week to address critical city issues. CBC News Windsor will host the event on Tuesday, October 6, starting at 4 p.m. The candidates – Drew Dilkens, Fred Francis, and Kat Pasquach – will share their visions and priorities for Windsor with voters in the 45-minute debate, focusing on topics such as homelessness, the cost of living, and job opportunities.
The debate will be moderated by Acton Clarkin, host of CBC Windsor News. Viewers can engage by submitting questions for the candidates via email at windsor@cbc.ca. The event will be accessible on the CBC Windsor website, CBC Windsor FAST channel, and the CBC Windsor YouTube channel.
In preparation for the municipal election on October 26, a total of eleven candidates are in the running for the mayoral seat. Apart from Dilkens, Francis, and Pasquach, the other candidates include Benjamin Danyluk, Aaron Day, Dylon Graves, Tara Grayer, Nick Kolasky, Tristan Ty Morencie, Patrick Sutherland, and Louis Vaupotic.
