Two young entrepreneurs in Windsor, Gavin Campeau and Alden Hartleib, have found a unique way to earn money during the summer by offering to clean their neighbors’ garbage, recycling, and compost bins. Inspired by a TikTok video, the duo, aged 12 and 13, operate as the Riverside Bin Bros, using power washing and soap to freshen up the bins.
The initiative not only provides a practical service but also allows the boys to engage with their community and meet new people. Pleased customers have shared positive reviews on social media, with one person expressing gratitude for the service, stating they would have gladly paid for such a task.
Both sets of parents have been supportive of Gavin and Alden’s endeavor, commending their entrepreneurial spirit and work ethic. They view this opportunity as a valuable learning experience for the boys, encouraging them to be active, learn new skills, and spend time outdoors rather than being glued to screens.
The Riverside Bin Bros plan to continue their business even as summer transitions into fall, aiming to keep their services available until the arrival of snow. Those interested in their bin cleaning services can contact them via email at riversidebinbros@gmail.com.
