“Beauty Bay Explores Sale Amid Financial Assessment”

A prominent e-commerce beauty retailer may be up for sale as it has engaged advisors to assess its operations. Founded in 1999 by siblings Arron and David Gabbie, Beauty Bay is headquartered in Manchester and offers a wide range of products from over 200 brands, including Ariana Grande, Clinique, MAC, and its own line.

According to a recent report by Sky News, Beauty Bay is considering various funding options, including a potential sale of the business. The advisory firm Interpath is reportedly collaborating with Beauty Bay on these endeavors. Currently, the company has a staff of 65 individuals. The Mirror has reached out to Beauty Bay for a statement.

In related news, the beauty brand Malin + Goetz has entered administration, resulting in the closure of its seven stores in London. This move is expected to impact over 70 jobs. Online orders for Malin + Goetz have been temporarily halted, with a message on their website indicating a return soon. Customers can still purchase their products through third-party retailers like Liberty, John Lewis, and Space NK.

TheIndustry.beauty reported that Malin+Goetz made the difficult decision to place its UK business in administration after a thorough review, leading to the closure of all UK stores and the head office. The company expressed regret over the job losses but stated the action was necessary given the circumstances. The website is anticipated to resume operations after a brief maintenance period. Established in New York in 2004 by Matthew Malin and Andrew Goetz, Malin + Goetz initially offered six products catering to all skin types and has since expanded into fragrance, body care, and additional beauty segments.
