“Wes Streeting Slams Trump for Disrespecting Female Reporter”

Wes Streeting has criticized Donald Trump for his disrespectful behavior towards a female reporter, where he rudely told her to be quiet. The Health Secretary condemned such conduct towards women, stating it should be a thing of the past and expressing disbelief that a prominent British politician would speak to a female journalist in such a manner.

Streeting emphasized that he would not tolerate his sisters being addressed in a similar disrespectful way, highlighting that such behavior is inappropriate and unprofessional. The incident occurred when Trump verbally attacked Bloomberg’s Catherine Lucey while she questioned him about the Epstein files during a flight on Air Force One.

Upon viewing the footage of Trump’s derogatory remarks on ITV’s This Morning, Streeting unequivocally stated that such behavior is unacceptable. He emphasized the need to combat sexism and misogyny in society, emphasizing the importance of moving away from demeaning language and actions towards women.

As part of the launch of England’s inaugural Men’s Health Strategy, the Cabinet minister discussed the importance of reshaping the perception of masculinity and strength. He underscored the negative influence of online content promoting sexist and misogynistic attitudes, advocating for better role models and rejecting the notion that disrespect towards women defines manhood.

The new Government strategy for men’s health aims to address issues like suicide, alcohol abuse, and problem gambling. It recognizes that men are often reluctant to seek help and are more prone to harmful behaviors. The Government plans to invest £3.6 million in suicide prevention initiatives targeting middle-aged men in communities where the risk of suicide is higher, particularly in disadvantaged areas.
