A tragic incident occurred in South Korea when a van collided with a group of tourists, resulting in two fatalities and injuring eight others. The accident took place in Yeonpyeong-ri, Udo-myeon, Jeju-si, where the van allegedly accelerated unexpectedly into the crowded area. Two individuals experienced cardiac arrests and succumbed to the injuries, while the remaining eight victims, one severely injured and seven with minor injuries, were promptly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The crash, reported by the Jeju Fire and Safety Headquarters, happened around 2:47 pm local time. Authorities are currently conducting an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the tragic event.
