“Tragic Collision Claims Two Lives in Ireland”

A tragic three-vehicle collision in Ireland has claimed the lives of a bus and truck driver, who have been identified as Paul Conway, in his 50s, and Wesley O’Reilly, 48. The incident occurred on the R132 in Gormanston, Co Meath, on Monday morning, involving a car in addition to the bus and lorry. Twelve individuals sustained injuries, with the car driver in critical condition at Dublin’s Beaumont Hospital.

Emergency services responded with six ambulances, medical vehicles, and fire engines at the scene, leading to a temporary road closure for investigation by Gardai.

Paul Conway, the Bus Eireann driver, was a well-known father of seven children and an avid hunter from Tallanstown in Co Meath. Wesley O’Reilly, a married father of three, was from Dublin but resided in Loughshinny near Skerries.

Gardaí urged witnesses of the collision to provide any relevant footage or information, with contact details for Ashbourne Garda Station and the Garda Confidential Line provided. Bus Éireann confirmed the involvement of one of their buses in the crash, expressing cooperation with authorities and promising updates on the situation.
