“Fatal Collision Claims Life at Rural Intersection”

A fatal collision claimed the life of a 35-year-old man when his truck crashed with another vehicle and veered into a ditch, according to RCMP officials. The incident occurred at an uncontrolled four-way intersection at Road 17 N. and Road 19 W. in the rural municipality of Stanley, southwest of Winnipeg. The collision involved a truck with a flatbed trailer traveling east and a truck hauling a garbage trailer heading north, both ending up in the northeast ditch as a result of the impact. Emergency services, including Mounties, local firefighters, and paramedics, swiftly responded to the scene. Sadly, the driver of the truck with the flatbed trailer, a 35-year-old man from Plum Coulee, Man., succumbed to his injuries at the crash site. The other driver, a 42-year-old man from the rural municipality of Stanley, was transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The RCMP is conducting an investigation into the tragic incident.
