Judge Rules in Favor of Cardinal Ouellet in Defamation Case

Quebec Superior Court Judge rules in Cardinal Marc Ouellet’s favor in a defamation case against Paméla Groleau. Groleau is ordered to pay $100,000 in damages as a result. The lawsuit was initiated by Ouellet in response to being implicated in a 2022 class-action lawsuit accusing members of the Quebec City diocese of sexual misconduct.
