Quebec City police are currently conducting an investigation following the discovery of a deceased 21-year-old man inside a residence in the Saint-Jean-Baptiste neighborhood last Friday. According to a press release, officers from the urban violence unit, along with the tactical intervention group, responded to a home on St-Gabriel Street as part of their inquiry. Upon entering the premises, the victim’s body was found and pronounced dead on-site.
Initially considered suspicious, the death has now been determined to be a homicide based on evidence collected at the scene. A mobile command post is being set up in the vicinity as of Saturday. Individuals with any relevant information are urged to contact 911 for immediate assistance.
