Ontario Provincial Police have reported a fatality and three individuals hospitalized following a head-on crash on Highway 5 near West Flamborough on Tuesday morning. Responding to the incident just east of Highway 8, Burlington OPP, along with other emergency services, arrived at the scene. Tragically, one person was pronounced dead on-site.
Of the three individuals taken to local hospitals, one is in critical condition while the other two sustained non-life-threatening injuries, according to police. The stretch of road between the roundabout at Peter’s Corners and Middletown Road has been closed for investigation by the OPP Traffic Support Unit. Motorists should anticipate the closure lasting approximately three hours.
