The 2026 inductees of the Canadian Basketball Hall of Fame, featuring former NBA player Jamaal Magloire, ex-Carleton Ravens men’s head coach Dave Smart, and Olympic flag-bearer Miranda Ayim, were scheduled for induction on Thursday evening.
Magloire, who played 12 seasons in the NBA, notably became the first Canadian to play for the Toronto Raptors in 2011. He achieved all-star status in 2004 while with the Memphis Grizzlies. The class of 2026 was unveiled on July 2, with additional members including players Michael Meeks, Anna Stammberger, Dan Meagher, and Teresa Kleindienst, coaches Peter (Doc) Ryan and official Janice Deakin, along with builder Dr. Andrew Pipe completing the esteemed 10-member class set to be enshrined at a ceremony in St. Stephen, N.B.
