Following reports of a man being shot in a home’s backyard around 1:40 a.m., RCMP responded to the scene. The injured individual was promptly attended to at the local health center before being transferred to Yellowknife for further medical care. Authorities indicated that the shooting seemed to be a targeted incident, prompting an ongoing investigation in collaboration with Yellowknife RCMP and other relevant agencies. Despite the incident, police assured the public that there is no immediate threat to safety.
