“Collaborative Probe Launched into Ottawa Deaths”

A collaborative police probe has been initiated into the suspicious deaths of two Ottawa residents. One individual was discovered deceased in a Lowertown residence, while another perished in a collision in western Quebec. The incident unfolded at approximately 12:30 a.m., when officers from the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) responded to a fatal single-vehicle crash on Highway 50 near Montebello, Quebec.

According to reports, a man in his 30s lost control of his vehicle, striking a guardrail before colliding with a concrete wall. The man’s injuries raised suspicions, as per a media release issued by the Ottawa Police Service (OPS) on Saturday night. He was promptly transported to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly after.

Upon the SQ’s request for assistance in their investigation, Ottawa police visited a residence on Guigues Avenue around 11 a.m. Subsequently, upon entering the premises, law enforcement officers discovered another deceased individual. OPS has since entrusted its homicide unit with spearheading the inquiry.

While OPS refrained from disclosing potential links between the deaths, emphasizing their suspicious nature and involvement of Ottawa residents, the identities of the deceased have been withheld pending family notification. Residents in the vicinity of Guigues Avenue can anticipate heightened police activity as authorities gather evidence and interview witnesses, although OPS assured there is no danger to public safety.
