“Ontario Air Ambulance Crash Victims Identified”

The U.S. Coast Guard has officially identified all six individuals who were on board an Ontario-based air ambulance that disappeared off the Massachusetts coast over the weekend. The passengers included four Canadians – Philip Gregory Childerhose, Thomas Henry Farquhar, Sarah Jane Paton, and Jolene Beth Weir, as well as two Bermudians – Marilyn Lavonne Bean and Sergio Wayne Lottimore. Rear Adm. Matthew Lake, Commander of the U.S. Coast Guard Northeast District, expressed condolences to the affected families and friends during this challenging period.

In response to the tragic incident, the U.S. Coast Guard acknowledged the efforts of the responding crews and partner agencies. The Transportation Safety Board of Canada has been assigned to lead the investigation into the air ambulance disappearance, as confirmed by the Coast Guard. The aircraft was en route to Boston from Bermuda when it vanished on Saturday. Despite extensive search operations in the Nantucket region, the U.S. Coast Guard terminated search and rescue activities on Sunday evening.

Latitude Air Ambulance, the company managing the flight, released a statement expressing deep sorrow at the conclusion of active search operations and the transition to recovery operations. The company indicated that based on the available information and search outcomes, it is presumed that the four crew members from Latitude Air Ambulance, along with the patient and the patient’s family escort, have tragically lost their lives.
