Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing on Street in Prince George

Emergency responders rushed to the northern outskirts of Prince George after a small plane appeared to make an emergency landing on a busy street. The incident occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m. PT on Foothills Boulevard near Highland Drive, according to the Prince George RCMP.

Cpl. Jennifer Cooper of the RCMP mentioned that they are currently assessing the situation along with other local first responders. The incident involved two cars, creating a challenging scenario for drivers who had limited time to react.

Authorities have not confirmed any injuries at this time. Prince George Fire Rescue briefly stated that they were dealing with a “serious motor vehicle incident involving an aircraft.”

Social media images depict a small passenger plane by the roadside, with a broken propeller in the middle of the street. A yellow car and a pickup truck were also involved in the collision, with the truck’s front windshield damaged by aircraft debris.

The plane sustained noticeable wing damage. Officials have advised people to steer clear of the area as the road will remain closed for an extended period.
