Teen Dies in Tragic Prank: Air Hose Insertion Fatality

A tragic incident unfolded when a 15-year-old Turkish carpentry apprentice, Muhammed Kendirci, lost his life due to severe internal injuries sustained in what his colleagues are now labeling as a prank gone wrong.

Reports suggest that Kendirci was restrained, had his hands bound, trousers forcibly removed, and an air compressor hose inserted into his rectum by his workmates, including his employer Habip Aksoy. Despite being rushed to Harran University Research and Application Hospital, Kendirci succumbed to his injuries five days later. Aksoy was initially detained by authorities, released on bail, and then rearrested, with pending charges.

This tragic incident is not isolated, as similar incidents involving high-pressure air tubes have led to fatalities in recent years. In 2023, in India, 16-year-old Motilal Sahu suffered fatal internal wounds after a colleague inserted a compressed air tube into his rectum as a “fun” act. Similarly, Dheerajsingh Goud, 21, caused devastating damage to Sahu’s bowels by forcefully inserting the hose from his cleaning equipment.

The use of high-pressure air tubes, commonly employed for various tasks from vehicle maintenance to operating nail guns, has been linked to other tragic deaths. For instance, in a separate incident, Wesner Moreira da Silva, a 17-year-old car wash worker, lost his life after his colleagues inserted a high-pressure air hose into his rectum, causing fatal intestinal rupture.

In another case, Thiago Giovanni Demarco Sena and Willian Enrique Larrea were convicted of sexually assaulting and murdering a young worker by inserting a high-pressure air hose into his rectum, leading to prison sentences exceeding 12 years.

These incidents serve as grim reminders of the dangers associated with misuse of industrial tools and the need for strict safety protocols in the workplace to prevent such tragic outcomes.
