“Two Pedestrians Struck by Vehicle in Glasgow City Center”

A section of Glasgow city center was blocked off as two pedestrians were hit by a vehicle. Emergency responders hurried to the area of West Regent Street and Wellington Street following a report of the incident at 3:35 pm on Monday. One pedestrian was transported to the hospital while the other received on-site medical evaluation by paramedics, according to Police Scotland.

The current condition of the pedestrian taken to the hospital remains undisclosed. The road was reopened an hour later, and an investigation has been initiated.

The Mirror reached out to the Scottish Ambulance Service for a statement. The occurrence transpired on West Regent Street in close proximity to the junction with Wellington Street.

A spokesperson from Police Scotland informed the Mirror that at approximately 3:35 pm on Monday, November 17, 2025, they responded to a collision involving a vehicle and two pedestrians on West Regent Street, near Wellington Street in Glasgow. Emergency services intervened, with one pedestrian hospitalized and the other assessed by paramedics at the site. The roadway was reopened by around 4:30 pm, with ongoing investigations to determine the complete circumstances.

According to an eyewitness speaking to GlasgowLive, two pedestrians were hit. They mentioned that one individual is in stable condition receiving treatment at the roadside, while the other has been rushed to the hospital in an ambulance. Although the road is accessible again, there remains a police cordon in place, with officers still present at the location.
