“Woman Set on Fire in Dublin Arson Attack”

A woman sustained critical injuries following an incident where she was reportedly drenched in petrol and set on fire by an assailant. The suspected arson attack occurred this morning at around 10:10 am at a property in Clondalkin, Dublin. Authorities are investigating the incident, suspecting the use of a petrol bomb.

According to Gardaí, the woman has been hospitalized for serious burn injuries, while a man is also receiving treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. The scene has been secured for a technical examination, and a Senior Investigating Officer has been assigned, with an incident room established at Clondalkin Garda Station.

In a statement, the police urged any witnesses to come forward. Individuals present in the Oak Downs area of Clondalkin between 9:30 am and 10:20 am today, especially those with video footage such as dash-cam recordings, are requested to share it with the investigating Gardaí.
