Royal scandal deepens as ex-prince spotted at Windsor Castle

Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, embroiled in scandal, has emerged in public for the first time since King Charles decisively stripped him of his titles and evicted him from his 30-room mansion. However, the royal family’s troubles are far from over.

The former prince was sighted horseback riding on the grounds of Windsor Castle on Monday, accompanied by a female companion, still enjoying the privileges of the vast estate where he will reside until the New Year. This appearance marked his first public sighting in seven weeks.

Sources from the royal circle reveal that Andrew is spending his remaining days at Royal Lodge, wandering solo and reportedly speaking to himself frequently, while meeting with his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, for meals to discuss future plans. Ferguson, who has shared the “dilapidated” royal residence with her former husband for many years, will part ways when Andrew relocates to Sandringham. Her living arrangements post-separation remain uncertain.

With renewed scrutiny on Andrew’s connections to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, a palace insider cautioned that seeing the ex-prince leisurely riding around Windsor Castle on a royal horse sends a negative message, likely causing displeasure among figures like Princess Kate and Prince William.

Photographs captured the former Duke of York smiling during his horse ride, emphasizing his continued presence at the property that has sparked public outrage in recent times. Controversy heightened when it was revealed that Andrew had paid minimal rent for the mansion over two decades.

A source within the royal household expressed concerns over the optics of Andrew’s activities, highlighting potential discontent among the Waleses who desire complete disassociation from him, particularly not as a local resident. The impending move to Sandringham is eagerly anticipated to physically distance Andrew from Windsor, as per the insider.

William and Kate recently settled into their permanent residence, Forest Lodge, abandoning their former property, Adelaide Cottage, in Windsor Park. This relocation temporarily places the Wales family in closer proximity to Andrew at Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park, albeit at a distance of about 1.4 miles.

Andrew has agreed to vacate Royal Lodge for a new home on the King’s private Sandringham estate in Norfolk come the New Year, following the removal of his titles in light of the prolonged Epstein scandal. Kate and William are reported to have fully endorsed the King’s decision.

William’s resolve to take decisive action against his uncle has been evident, especially concerning the allegations brought by Virginia Giuffre of sexual assault during her teenage years, allegedly facilitated by Epstein, which Andrew vehemently denies.
