Man’s Body Found at Halifax Recycling Plant

Halifax Regional Police are currently conducting an investigation following the discovery of a deceased man’s body on Wednesday afternoon at a recycling plant located within the Bayers Lake Business Park. The body was transported to the facility in a truck that had been collecting materials from various commercial containers across Bayers Lake and Halifax earlier that same day.

According to Marla MacInnis, a spokesperson for the police, efforts are underway to track the truck’s route in reverse to determine the specific container the man may have been in before his arrival at the plant. While the cause of the man’s death is under investigation, authorities do not suspect foul play at this time.

Through an autopsy, the police have been able to identify the deceased as a 50-year-old man from Halifax, although further details are being withheld. Family members of the deceased have yet to be notified about the tragic incident.
