Police have reported that traffic has resumed along a portion of the Trans-Canada Highway on the west coast of Newfoundland following an earlier crash that had closed both lanes. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police announced the reopening of the highway at approximately 8 p.m., after initially informing the public of the closure around 1:30 p.m.
Motorists were cautioned about the possibility of delays and advised to reduce speed when approaching the affected area, located approximately six kilometers west of the Flat Bay Junction. This junction is in close proximity to the community of Flat Bay and Route 403 in the Bay St. George region.
