Elderly Man Dies in North Glengarry Collision

A 77-year-old man from Cornwall, Ontario, has passed away following a collision involving two vehicles in North Glengarry Township. The incident, as per the Ontario Provincial Police, occurred on Saturday afternoon on County Road 43 close to County Road 30.

According to authorities, a preliminary inquiry revealed that a car made a left turn in front of an approaching motorcycle. The elderly man operating the motorcycle was taken to the hospital after the crash and was later pronounced deceased. The driver of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries.

Police mentioned that the investigation is still ongoing and urged individuals with any details or dashcam recordings to reach out to the Stormont, Dundas, and Glengarry Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.

The location of the collision, at the intersection of County Road 43 and County Road 30, is approximately 27 kilometers north of downtown Cornwall and 76 kilometers southeast of downtown Ottawa.
