Russian Drones Strike Coca-Cola Plant near Kyiv

Russian drones have damaged a Coca-Cola facility near Kyiv, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The strike occurred close to the town of Brovary, just east of the capital, with no reported injuries. Zelenskyy mentioned in a video address that the drones, of Iranian origin, set the plant on fire, indicating a deliberate message from Russia to the United States. The plant’s employees are safe, confirmed by Andy Hunder, president of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, who emphasized prioritizing people’s safety. The incident is a result of the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, which escalated into a full-scale invasion in February 2022. Firefighting crews were seen responding to the scene, as smoke billowed from the plant and surrounding fields.
