Danny Nucci, the vice president of Bennett’s Bakery Ltd. and The Persian Man, described the visit as a unique and memorable experience. He mentioned that while he had hosted various politicians in the past, having both a Prime Minister and Bryan Adams at his shop was extraordinary.
Nucci revealed that the news of the visit had initially been kept under wraps, but rumors eventually spread. The surprise appearance of Carney and Adams at the cafe astonished those unaware of their visit. The Prime Minister graciously interacted with customers and staff, taking photos and engaging in conversations.
Carney’s presence in Thunder Bay was tied to the announcement of funding for new Via Rail cars to be manufactured in Canada, while Adams was set to perform at the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium later that evening. The duo was also spotted admiring the view and snapping selfies at Thunder Bay’s Terry Fox Monument, paying homage to the Canadian icon.

Powlowski’s post included images of the Prime Minister and Bryan Adams at the monument, with a note clarifying the identity of the musician for those unfamiliar with him.
