Expressing her discontent, Warbus highlighted the leadership decisions, or lack thereof, that have led to a series of departures within a short three-month period. She emphasized the departure of not only sitting MLAs but also essential members of riding associations and staff, upon whom they rely.
Warbus criticized the cancellation of a caucus meeting scheduled for Monday, which she believes reflects the diminishing value placed on caucus members and their viewpoints. B.C. Conservative Leader Kerry-Lynne Findlay has been facing ongoing turmoil as MLAs continue to leave the party, citing concerns about her leadership style and the turnover of top party staff.
On Saturday, B.C. Premier David Eby announced a byelection in Abbotsford-Mission for September 26, a riding where Findlay was anticipated to run.
