A fatal incident occurred in northern Nova Scotia as a man lost his life in a house fire during the past weekend. The RCMP reported that emergency responders received a distress call regarding a property on Branch Road in Onslow Mountain at 12:40 p.m. on Saturday. Upon arrival, the officers observed the residence ablaze and were informed that a man was likely trapped inside. Subsequent to extinguishing the fire, authorities discovered the deceased man within the premises. The investigation into the tragic event involves the fire marshal’s office and medical examiner service. The RCMP has indicated that based on gathered information and evidence, foul play is not suspected to be a contributing factor.
