Police in Nottingham are on the lookout for a group of masked youths who allegedly wielded machetes near Winter Wonderland. The incident involved four young individuals, two of whom were reportedly carrying knives, confronting another group outside the Council House in Old Market Square. The authorities were alerted at 6:15 pm on Sunday, and upon arrival, no injuries were reported, but the suspects had already fled the scene. CCTV footage has been released to aid in identifying the perpetrators.
Chief Superintendent Nick Waldram condemned the behavior, emphasizing that such acts have no place in the city. He assured that every effort would be made to apprehend the suspects and bring them to justice. Waldram urged the public to provide any information they might have on the incident, emphasizing the importance of community cooperation in maintaining safety.
